@alphabuilders4 years agoJust a quick note on the chargers amp rating, at 310w it draws about 1. 3 amps from 240v. 12 amps is its current output at 18v, 18 x 12 = 216w being pushed to the battery, the rest is lost as heat. 4

@cb-nz4 years agoShit ton. It is a pity batteries aren' t dual volt. Just got the dtd171 driver the day before lockdown and would be nice to not have to choose between 18, 36 and 40v circular saws as next purchase. 1

@niskytank4 years agoHow is the battery balancing accomplished on the 40v? They don' t have any of the aux connections of the 18v, seems like a step back. Balancing 10 cells with only 4 connectors isn' t really doable.

@kamleo16854 years agoIf you have the dual 18v charger and it is not broken keep on using it. You get two batteries charged in approximately the time to charge one on the 40v charger with adapter. The dually is effectively twice as fast! 1
