Kathleen Powell is the President and co-founder of Cinequest Film Festival. This Silicon Valley film festival brings art and technology under one roof. This year the festival is celebrating its 25th year. Powell is a computer scientist by training and worked in Silicon Valley's tech industry for many years. We sat down to find out how her involvement with films started and how she and Halfdan Hussey founded this unique film festival in Silicon Valley. Powell shares the highlights of this year's festival, the spotlight on youth through "Picture The Possibilities" and the new technology featured on the show in this year's festival. The opening night film was "Batkid Begins" by local bay area filmmaker Dana Nachman. The closing night film is Victor Levin "5 to 7." Guests featured in this year's festival includes Lawrence Kasadan (Empire Strikes Back, Raiders of the Lost Arc, The Big Chill), actress Rosario Dawson, filmmaker John Boorman, film critic Anne Thompson, writer Dennis Lehane and filmmaker and Mike Medavoy. "The Power of Creating" is the theme for this year's festival that runs from Feb 24-Mar 8, 2015.
