I am still using 5.05 on my PS4, There a lot of game data on this system as i have not completed a few 5.05 games. What i need to do in this case?, i mean do i need to format my PS4 to upgrade it to 6.72... It is not clear to me whether only 6.72 will be operational on the PS4 after the update or both the firm wares 5.05 and 6.72 will coexist on the same PS4. I donot wish to loose my game data on 5.05 firmware and yet again i wish to play newer games on 6.72 aswell. Any clarification on the matter will be highly appreciated. ... 1

@specta41544 years ago do fromsoft games still give the same problem though ? i installed all of fromsoft games except for demons souls , and they all had the same problem , ps4 crashes randomly , save file get's corrupted , restarting the game all over , i had this even with sekiro , i do realize that the games are constantly autosaving and the save file get's corrupted if the game freezes or the console crashes while saving , i had the same problem with witcher 3 and gow and horizon zero dawn , but the crashes weren' as common with those games as they were with fromsoftware games , aam talking the game works flawlessly for a while and then crashes ,imy problem is that they don't really even require as much as gow or horion zero dawn , yet they crash after launch or while having 2 hours ingame , and that is all on 5.05 , if i update to 6.72 , will i be having the same problem ? i just want to finish those games , i gave up n all games and i can't go back until i finish them , i wish i had a problem with their difficulty instead of dealing with my progress all lost ...

I did exactly like you said and it worked perfectly untill i got at the end of 3rd mission from hitman 2 (it s the first and only game I downloaded after I made the update from 5.05 to 6.72).Now it s keep crushing after 1-2 minutes no matter what I keeps telling me on the blue screen to update the game or to update the software. And since then it takes more time to load the game than usual. I use darkmodder s jailbreak...I wrote too much, sorry and thank you for the support you offer ... 1
