Crispy fried rangoon with sriracha plum sauce! This recipe uses imitation crab meat but you can use real crab meat if you prefer. For Crab Rangoons 2 scallions, finely chopped 8 oz. cream cheese, softened 8 oz. flake-style imitation crab meat 1/8 tsp garlic powder 1 package wonton wrappers peanut oil or another oil for frying For Sriracha Plum Sauce 3 Tbsp plum sauce 1 tsp sriracha 1-2 Tbsp water To make the filling add scallions, cream cheese, imitation crab meat, and garlic powder in a large bowl, and mix until combined. Spoon about 1 Tbsp of filling into the center of a wonton wrapper. Dip your finger in water and run it around all four edges of the wrapper. Bring opposite corners of the wrapper together and seal the edges, pressing out any air bubbles that form around the filling. Repeat with remaining filling and wonton wrappers. Heat the oil in a large pot until it is very hot. Working with about 6 crab rangoons at a time, deep fry until golden brown, then remove and drain on paper towels. Continue deep frying remaining crab rangoons in batches. To make the dipping sauce combine plum sauce and sriracha in a small bowl. Add 1-2 Tbsp water to thin the sauce to your desired consistency.
