After spotting an idling Kansas City Southern train just in front of the Odem, Texas diamond, I noticed a BNSF train coming down the line in the opposite direction. Here a lengthy and loaded BNSF grain train screeches over the crossover and then proceeds to scream around the wye heading for the industrial port city of Corpus Christi. Not long after it passes, a KCS grain train quickly accelerates out of Odem and slams the diamond as it heads northeast.
