Putting the KORG NTS-1 to work on a keyboard riff I’ve been noodlin’ on all summer. Still haven’t found other parts for it to live with yet, though. Do you ever run into that? . The KORG NTS-1 rules. It’s packed with way more than you’d expect for its price and size. It definitely excels as an effects unit for other devices (I particularly love the unique reverbs, like this one heard here — 'Riser'), but its onboard sounds also fill a special niche not occupied by my other synths. I can spend hours on the couch just sending a pre-recorded MIDI part like this one through it and experimenting with different sounds. . Ps. If you get one of these, I highly recommend adding 3DWaves' custom legs to the unit — aside from looking cool, they make it easier to prop the synth up on other surfaces, like a MIDI controller. I also recommend adding custom knobs to the unit — they go a long ways towards making it feel like a more expensive synth! . Follow @brianleahyart on Instagram for more music, art, and adventure
