@ChuckDeCarlolast year Dear iolande, hi! I' m a relatively new sub viaactually through your review of grace' s new book. Anyway, this video showed up on my feed a little while ago and wow, it really hits home for me. I' m raised catholic and even was an altar boy during my elementary school years growing up in the 60' s. Of course, i' d go to church on sundays with my mom and sister. One time after church; i must' ve been about 10 or 11 years old, we got home and i asked my father: " hey dad, how come you never go to church? " he said to me, " son, i have a church in my heart. " and smiled. Well, i must' ve 100% bought into it because i knew in my heart dad was a good person. In that respect i am very much like the old man now, rest his soul, as i' m no longer practicing any religion. I' m more like thetype as well. Lol, i don' t anymore; is that the right way to say it? I feel like i' m a good guy. Funny, i mentioned to my daughter recently as we were having a conversation about the same thing- how some church people act (ha) we got a chuckle out of it and yeah, i told her exactly what her grandpa told me. She laughed coz it' s not the first time i used the " church in my heart" line, haha.
so iolande, i just would like to say thanks! I' m enjoying your videos and this one especially. Take care!

@randomnesspersonifiedlast year I am so glad i came across this video! I swear i had the same thoughts the other day about idol worshipping. I had thought about getting my son a st christopher essentially, i think god knows that our intention is not to be disrespectful to him and jc' s name, because god knows what is in our hearts and whether it is of good intention. I think god would probably be a bit saddened if we didn' t ask any questions about things and mull things over - we could be very easily led into all sorts of bad things, like you say about cults using god' s name to control people and persuade them to dothings etc. We are mere mortals and so we are learning every day of our lives. I don' t think god would necessarily punish us for making mistakes (i hope! Provided we acknowledge them and are sorry, and try not to repeat it. What' s the phrase, " to err is human, to forgive, divine" i think of the phrase i' ve heard many times: " we are all god' si remember how i was during my son' s period of growing up and learning. To me, making mistakes is part of learning, and trying not to repeat the mistake and being sorry about getting things wrong is ok, it' s the intention of doing something you deliberately know to be wrong which is worse. Although temptation can be strong throughout life and we are only human - sometimes we can only make amends and try again. I cannot imagine god being so cruel as to not cut people some slack as they grow and learn. Provided they don' t keep doing things which harm others on purpose, and genuinely try to make amends if they accidentally do something which ends up being harmful to someone else. I think some people go through life using jc as a free pass to do many things they know they really shouldn' t, because " he died for our sins" like that makes it ok to just do things which you know in your heart at not good, because jc has already paid that debt. It doesn' t make it morally right to keep repeating mistakes because you believe he gave you a get out of jail free card.
sorry i' m rambling. I think i was meant to find this given a good deal of contemplation on the subject on friday last (for obvious reasons! I do think that often we are guided towards certain things in life. I wish we had all the answers, but all we can do is try to be decent human beings and have faith that things will work themselves out how they are meant to in the end

@johnmurphy9368last year It' s good to talk these things out, even just for ones own clarity, no one knows exactly everything, think that' s why it' s called faith. i believe that the christian/judoand beliefs) are the foundation of western society, which far from perfect has done alot for man kind as a whole and i for one do feel lucky to part of the western world in this time. Its the religious organisations and administration that are man made and are very much damaged and twisted. The only thing i see about modern life that is super bad, is that people have idolise celebrities and leaders and objects and practice, which has moved them away from themselves and from god, no wonder so many people feel lost.
when i look back at the generations that have gone before me and see the church that they built, back when people were poor and hungry and had to build the hard way and had to fight so hard to have the right to even practice their religion without prosecution and now i' m there every sunday, and the church is 99% empty and most people are well on in their life, its just quiet sad. Maybe people will find god again in their own way.

I resonate with the essence of what you are saying & have had, only t i know god exists, because i see & feel him everywhere. I have a personal relationship with him & i believe we all do. There is a much more colourful display, when we link the wonders of nature, sacred geometry & energy, to the bible. Discerning between what is of god (love)amp; what is of man (fear) has made a difference on my journey to seek truth & enlightenment, to at least humbly attain a glimmer of the christ consciousness. @8882keithio9 months ago Wow that was hard to watch! Just because you have so many good questions and there are good answers for all of them.
i was like taking notes and first just wanna say as a christian i respect your honesty and openness, its a rare thing these days! Much respect to you!
    so.
    of the bible:
what i would say is its a translation issue the majority of the time. The bible is not corrupted or changed in fact its the most reliable ancient work in existence due to number of manuscripts. But yeh some translations are off or a bit skewed because hey unless you can read greek or hebrew your gonna get some bias with word choice. I tend to use several translations and greek dictionaries to get a better grip. A great example was your thought about the jealous god, apparently in the greek that word can also mean strong zeal ie zealous not jealous. The worst bibles are the ones that add a lot of extra stuff through paraphrase, the message being a good example, steer well clear of that
    jesus vs god:
well this is a biggy, the heart of your issue is your not recognising that jesus is god. You see christians are not idolizing jesus, the bible says that god gave jesus a name abouve all names. God has made this the test of recognising him in his son, and by faith in him seeing god. Jesus said i and the father are one. The bible is full of proof for the trinity it just never uses the word itself. Take a look of the prophecy in isaiah of the coming prince of peace, the messiah. It says the almighty farther will be born on earth! Take a look at john chapter one, jesus made all things, he is the creator. Because jesus and the father and the holy spirit are one god in three distinct persons. God above us, god with us and god in us. Again please take a look at my channel i share a fair bit more on this stuff. Jesus is the alpha and the omega, that' s god. That said jesus wanted us to pray to the father through the son by the holy spirit. So we should be praying to father. Jesus taught us to pray that way in the lords prayer. But he told us to ask in his name.
being told were sinners from birth:
i understand you don' t like that idea and see where your coming from. The truth is in the end it mostly comes down to selfishness vs selflessness. The first command of satanism is to do your own will ie be selfish vs the command of god love him and love others as our selves. Selfishness is that simple focus we have right from childhood, by putting god first and then loving others as jesus commands we are putting things back in their correct order.
why did jesus have to die for us:
we cant pay the price for ourselves is the answer. Its too much, our selfish evil vs a holy gods justice means separation from our maker. Jesus is the bridge he made a way where there was no other way. When abraham took isaac on the mountain that was a prophecy of that, that god himself would provide the sacrifice to save us. Jesus died so we can be with god, god looks at a believer and sees the sacrifice jesus paid for us. That' s the gift of salvation. Its justice vs love and love wins because jesus took the justice for us.
should christians sit on their bums doing nothing once they' re saved?
no the point is we then once saved love others and seek their salvation. We stand up for what' s right and care about this world. Sitting around doing nothing is not a christian option.
please chat with me here or on my channel if you have any questions about the bible, i will honestly do my best to explain things.
    god bless!

@TomTwainlast year Don' t let anyone stray you from your path, io. " the road to hell" is paved with good
religion starts to become a problem when the strong held beliefs of a group insist that their version is the only version. Then attempt to save (convert) anyone who has individual thought (lost sheep) into their(cult)
the bible holds a great deal of wisdom.
don' t expect that to be translated through a church

@ExtremePacifistlast year I understand your point and appreciate your honest opinions on christianity and who jesus is. I believe jesus is god as i believe the heavenly father is 1 john 5: 7-9
" for there are three that bear record in heaven, the father, the word, and the holy ghost: and these three are one.
and there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. "
    john 1: 1-5, amp; 14
" in the beginning was the word, and the word was with god, and the word was god.
the same was in the beginning with god.
all things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
in him was life; and the life was the light of men.
and the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
and the word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the father, full of grace and truth. "
i have a relationship with jesus, and pray to him, and also pray to the father, in the name of jesus, and pray to the holy spirit, in the name of jesus.
i believe the most important aspect of my growing faith in my walk with jesus, is praying and reading the bible (kjv) as often as i can, and having a real daily relationship with jesus.
i do attend different christian churches, and go to 2 or 3 bible study meetings weekly, and reach out to people one on one daily where ever i go daily, and talk to them about jesus and also how jesus saved me and helps me.
when the holy spirit is strong in my presense, i can sense his presense and my faith is strengthened, but when i get caught up in the world, and the things of this world, the enemy; satan and his demons are in my way and try to block my path, this can be called a spiritual attack, and i simply rebuke them in the name of jesus, and turn my attention back to jesus, but i am aware the spirit world is real, and active in our world today.
i don' t visibly see or audibly hear from god/jesus, nor any demons, but i can feel their energetic presense.
the bible helps me know jesus more as it says in romans 10: 17
" so then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of god"
i think it' s powerful and beneficial when we all can talk freely about these spiritual matters without having to agree on every issue, and i pray more people will be open to doing that.
be blessed and stay strong in the faith

please correct me if i deviate or i am muslim and prior to watching this vlog, i thought its islam that is most criticized globally, for all the shits happening and happened like 9/11, so on and so forth. We can discuss it further if you got a specific question, although i am not a scholar, just a typical human being with love and respect for every single human being)
bible, is one of our holy books that christianity follows, and the reason that we focus less on it is we believe there have been so many changes made in it so far. Just as you mentioned that there are things in it which are confusing and which might be the reason that makes you doubtful about it.
although i havent read bible yet i keep one, our belief about the holy books, specifically quran, is that we dont take it as a bunch of words rather we consider it a philosophy that encapsulates the knowledge from the start of this world and mankind until the end. In times things are written pretty straight forward in it however the rest of it is deep philosophy that one has to understand and explore by connecting the dots.
there are loads of stuff we could discuss, and if you are comfortable plz share your email where i could connect.
plz ignore my earlier comments on your previous vlogs where i said that i love you, just teasing

    @apnachannel7165last year Brilliantly expressed!
i just want to add up a little bit of my knowledge, no offence to any religion
please correct me if i deviate or i am muslim and prior to watching this vlog, i thought its islam that is most criticized globally, for all the shits happening and happened like 9/11, so on and so forth.

@ChihuahuaPuplumlast year I' m a christian. As for jesus being an idol, he isn' t. Jesus said " i and the father are one" so they are the same. Also jesus said " whatever jesus was and is perfect for us, since we are not. That' s the only way we can go to heaven. Because jesus died for us. Only god could do that, nothing else could suffice. That is true love. God/jesus/holy spirit they are one. Love.
    i hope this helps:
