Michael Thurber of cdza joins Tara and Anthony as they attempt to break glass with the human voice. Will Michael's vocal cords be enough to get the job done? Watch to find out!
Experiment Tips:
- Place a straw inside the glass. When the straw starts to bounce around your voice has reached the natural frequency of the glass.
- Leaded, crystal glasses work best for this experiment because they are more delicate.
- A horn driver helps center the sound in one place.

The glass needs to contain a small flaw. The shattering starts with this small crack. The blemish can be too small to be seen by the naked eye.
