One of the easiest mushrooms for the amateur forager to identify COTW is a great mushroom to get you started on your foraging journey. A bracket fungus that grows in shelves on trees (dead or alive) it has a distinctive orange and yellow colouring unlike any other bracket fungus you're likely to come across. It also tastes like chicken.
